On August 17, 2024,ย Christ the King Collegeโ€™s Higher Education Department came together for its annual Acquaintance Party dubbed as the Pakikipagkapwa 2024, with the theme โ€œPagkakaisa at Pagbubuo ng Pagkakaibigan sa Diwang Pilipino,โ€ students and faculty showcased their Filipino-inspired outfits, creating a colorful and lively atmosphere.

To kick off the event, hosts Ms. Ayah Mabelle A. Lingad and Mr. GianFranco Jalog energized the crowd, leading the way through an afternoon filled with games and dancing. Meanwhile, the Society of Culture and Arts captivated everyone with a dance performance that encouraged students to join in, adding to the overall spirit of unity.

Throughout the day, students eagerly participated in various games, including Kamangha-manghang Karera, Hulaang Sagot, and Hulaan ang Tamang Sagot. What made these games even more exciting was the mix of participants from different programs, which helped students meet new people and form connections across programs. The competition intensified during Hulaang Sagot, where Governors and Vice Governors faced off in a friendly but fierce battle. Initially, the BSIT and BSSW teams tied, but in the end, Governor Romulo F. Pacot, III & Vice Governor Jhunnah A. Hindem from the BSSW program emerged victorious.

As the day progressed, the highlight of the event unfolded with the competition for the best attire. Joan Edquila from the Accountancy Program won the Female Category, while Micco Orlandez from the Nursing Program took home the title in the Male Category, impressing everyone with their creativity and flair.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work and coordination of the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFil (CAR), along with the Christ the King College Supreme Student Council and the dedicated faculty and staff of the Higher Education Department. Together, they ensured the event was a success, providing students with a much-needed break from their studies while celebrating friendship and Filipino culture.
