      NURSING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

    • Develop Christian caring behaviour with compassion, commitment, competence, confidence and moral conscience;
    • Gain knowledge of ethico-moral and legal principles and their implications in caring for individual, family and community;

    • Integrate critical and creative thinking in the practice of nursing in any given situation;

    • Possess adequate knowledge and positive attitudes for the promotion of health, prevention, of illness, restoration of health and alleviation of suffering ;

    • Undertake personal and professional advancement attuned to current local and global concerns.

 

     PROGRAM OUTCOME

 

    • Apply knowledge of physical, social, natural and health sciences and humanities in the practice of nursing across cultures
    • Provide safe, appropriate, holistic and compassionate care to individuals, families, population group & community utilizing the nursing process

    • Apply guidelines and principles of evidence-based practice in the delivery of care to uphold justice, peace, equity and integrity of creation

    • Practice nursing in accordance with existing laws, legal, ethical and moral principles anchored on Ignacian Marian ideals

    • Communicate effectively in speaking, writing & presenting using culturally appropriate language Document/Report client care accurately, comprehensively and honestly as Christian bearers of truth
    • Work effectively in collaboration with inter, intra and multi-desciplinary and multi-cultural teams as humble Ignacian Marian health professionals
    • Practice beginning nursing  management and leadership skills  in the delivery of client’s using system approach

    • Conduct research with experience researcher

    • Engage in a lifelong learning with passion to keep current with national and global development in genera and nursing & health development in particular.

    • Demonstrate responsible citizenship and pride of being a Filipino. Practice the Ignacian-Marian leadership characterized by courage, humility, integrity and nationalism.

    • Apply techno-intelligent care systems and processes in health care delivery.

    • Adopt nursing core values and Ignacian-Marian values in the practice of the profession.

    • Uphold Christ like values in the practice of entrepreneurial skills in the workplace to enhance productivity and quality career options.
