Tears, roses, inspirational words, and an emotional tribute to their parents, Graduating students of the Accountancy Program of Christ the King College’s (CKC) Higher Education Department (HED) dedicates tribute song to parents, loved ones, and teachers who assisted them towards their path of success.

The ceremony took place at the CKC Mother Ignacia Gymnasium last December 6, 2024, right after the First Friday mass Celebration. The event proceeded firstly with a processional march led by an entrance of the colors, followed by the Accountancy graduating students, their parents, and the CKC faculty and middle administrators present.

Furthermore, the event progressed with a heartwarming and inspiring welcome from the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, who highlighted and acknowledged the struggles of being an Accountancy student and welcomed them into the “real world”.

“The life of an Accountancy student is surely not a walk in the park,” said Mr. Diaz.

Additionally, the guest speaker, Mrs. Lyzel Erezo-Borza, CPA, also send her deep regards and shared her passion of being the breadwinner of her family, proudly sharing her past that led her to this moment.

“I was the breadwinner of my family, I was the one who supported my brother’s education and now, look at him, my brother is now an engineer!” Mrs. Erezo-Borza shared.

After the pinning of the newly-Interns, they sung a tribute song for their parents and supporters with roses given towards each parent.

As the event ended, smiles and tears of joy filled the gymnasium, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their journeyโ€”one filled with hope, perseverance, and the drive to succeed in the real world.
