The milestone event, centered on the theme "The Journey Begins: Carrying the light of hope and healing, commitment and caring," opened with a Eucharistic Celebration and welcome remarks from School President S. Ma. Anecita C. Navaja, RVM.
Following this, Ms. Renaquil M. Baloria, Registered Nurse, introduces the guest speaker for the ceremony.
During her keynote address, Mrs. Ma. Lourdes A. Buhian, RN, MN, reminds the candidates that β€œNursing is never just a destination, it is a lifelong journey.”
After the giving of the certificate for the guest speaker, the lesson given about the significance of the lamp, cap, and badge, and the presentation of candidates, 20 male and 59 female student-nurses finally received their official caps, badges, and individual Nightingale lamps following the symbolic lighting of the mother lamp by Ms. Alaizza Daguit, RN, portraying Florence Nightingale – the mother of the nursing profession.
The rites concluded with the recitation of the Nightingale Pledge led by Ms. Precious Eve H. Estrada alongside the Nurse's Prayer led by Mr. Erwin Q. Baranggan.
