Christ the King College β November 6, 2025
Christ the King College (CKC) successfully conducted an earthquake drill on Thursday, November 6, as part of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). The activity was carried out in coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) to enhance the preparedness and safety awareness of students, teachers, and staff in the event of an earthquake.
At exactly 9:00 a.m., the alarm signaled the start of the drill. Students and personnel immediately performed the βDuck, Cover, and Holdβ procedure and evacuated to their designated safe areas in an orderly manner, following the guidance of their teachers.
The CDRRMO team assisted in facilitating and evaluating the drill, ensuring that proper safety protocols were observed.
The activity was conducted following the strong earthquake that struck Gingoog City on October 10, which served as a wake-up call for communities to remain alert and prepared for natural disasters.
Through this simulation, CKC continues to uphold its commitment to promoting disaster resilience and ensuring the safety of its entire school community.
