Accountancy Program

The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is a four (4)-year degree program that provides a relevant learning experience for students who want to pursue a rewarding career in the practice of accountancy and business-related fields.
The program guided by the core values of Faith, Excellence, and Service is committed to producing employable graduates equipped with technical competence, professional skills, values, and attitudes that will enable them to make valuable contributions to the profession and society and prepare students for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination and other certifications and assessment.

Internship Program

As part of the curriculum, the accountancy students are required to undergo six hundred (600) hours of on-the-job training in accounting and auditing firms during the second semester of their last academic year. This is designed for students to gain first-hand meaningful experience in an actual work environment and allows them an opportunity to operationalize the knowledge and skills gained in the four corners of the classroom.
Retention policy
Students are required to maintain a grade of 2.2 (83%) for major subjects and 2.5 (80%) for minor subjects. Failure to maintain such grades in any subject for three semesters will not qualify for admission to the program. The student will be advised to enroll in a non-board degree.
Diagnostic Examination
Students are required to take a diagnostic examination at the start of the first semester of their second-year, third-year, and fourth-year level. The examination will cover all board courses taken previously. This will evaluate the students’ current knowledge in board courses which will aid them in identifying the topics they need to review and focus on.
