Christ the King College (CKC) took a significant step towards protecting the intellectual property of the institution, teachers, and students and addressing the challenges in this area. On the 25th of March, 2024, Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, Dean of College; Mr. Pericles G. Aninion, Institution Quality Assurance Coordinator; Mr. Paul John B. Panganiban, Research and Planning Coordinator; Ms. Julie Ann A. Decastillo, Accountancy Program Head; and Lea Jean B. Cuerdo, Information Program Head, attended the seminar on the Overview of the System and Types of Intellectual Property, hosted by the Research Management Office of St. Michael’s College of Iligan City. The resource speaker was Engr. John Paul C. Yu, the Intellectual Property Operation Specialist in Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

The event aimed to provide attendees with an understanding of the Intellectual Property (IP) system, empower them to protect their exclusive rights to creative works, and inventions, and encourage innovation and the development of new products and ideas.
