CKC’s 76th Founding Anniversary’s Opening Salvo was an Exhibition-Filled Event

Hosted by the dynamic duo of the institution, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz and Ms. Jesserie L. Espelita, the opening salvo of the 76th founding anniversary celebration of the school occurred at the King’s Quadrangle on November 20, 2023.

The School President, S. Ma. Anecita C. Navaja, RVM, delivered her welcome address before the audience, such words of greetings was then followed by the first band exhibition presenter courtesy of the talented students from Saint Mary Academy of Lunao. Adorned with different shades of blue, the Grade School Band and Lyre Corp succeeded their presentation.

Amidst the threat of the drizzle, the CKC community was unfazed and still stayed in the open field to witness another band exhibition, this time, showcased by the collective efforts of the Junior and Senior High School Band and Lyre Corp.

Moreover, before the opening salvo wrapped up, the highly anticipated performance of the Criminal Justice Program’s Silent Drill sprawled in the outstretched of the King’s Quadrangle. Entertaining the Ignacian Marian community with their snappy marches, enthralling riffle plays, and their “challenging” act of all—TikTok dances.

The band exhibitions and the silent drill acted as a metaphorical gun start, signaling the commencement of the week-long founding anniversary celebration of the school and promising different sets of fun and festivities than the last.

Lastly, the Institution’s Quality Assurance Coordinator, Mr. Pericles Aninion, officially ended the program with his closing remarks.
