    𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | 𝗔 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀

    There is an invisible thread that runs through generations, a resonance of voices thatwere once forced into whispers, now blooming into a roar. To honor Women’s Month is to feelthe weight of those who built cathedrals of change out of nothing but hope and grit.
    For a long time, women’s power was like a hidden underground river. It was there,moving deep and strong, even when no one could see it on the surface. It showed the power ofa woman’s quiet “yes” when the whole world was shouting “no.” Society tried to define womenwithin narrow frames: gentle but not strong, caring but not commanding, present but neverleading. Still, women found ways to bend those limits. They became leaders, innovators,educators, and protectors, as well as the fire that drives every field of life. They showed the world that a woman can be both soft enough to care and strong enough to lead.
    They had to learn to live with a loud chorus of critics. If a woman was firm, she wascalled “mean”; if she was soft, she was called “weak.” For years, women have had to walk anarrow tightrope, watching every word and every move just to be taken seriously. But the trueemotional depth of a woman is found in how she takes those cruel words and uses them asbricks to build her own path. She learned that she didn’t need the world’s permission to bepowerful; she only needed to believe in her own voice.
    After all, the most important thing to remember is that this honor should not beconfined to just one month. We must celebrate this power every single day, in every small act ofcourage and every big dream achieved, because the work of a woman never stops, and neithershould our respect for her.
    Today, Women’s Month is the moment when the river finally reaches the ocean. Wecelebrate to say thank you to the ghosts of the past and to promise the girls of the future thatthey will never have to hide their light. We are the daughters of warriors, the sisters ofsurvivors, and the keepers of a flame that will never, ever go out…

    Today, February 28, at 9:00 AM, a consultation meeting was held at the OLA Building Library, where CKC stakeholders gathered, including parents who were formally invited to attend. The meeting was moderated by Ms. Kaila Marie Amper.
    The Research and Planning Coordinator, Mr. Paul John P. Panganiban, introduced the proposal for the internationalization, Sekonic Answer Sheets and Science Research Associates (SRA) materials. This initiative aims to strengthen and enhance the quality of education offered by the institution and to expand its scope of academic partnerships.
    The CKCSSC President, Ms. Kanna Marie P. Macabenta, also proposed an increase in the student body organization fee. According to the presentation, the current fee has remained unchanged for the past ten years. Without adjustment, the student body organization may struggle to provide even standard services and may face limitations in fulfilling its responsibilities effectively.
    Majority of the parents agreed of this increase and assured full cooperation for the school and students’ betterment. The meeting ended with gratitude sending parents with warm valedictions foreseeing better future for all.

    𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞

    The Sepak Takraw match between Team OMEGA and Team ALPHA delivered an intense showdown marked by focus and grit. Strong coordination and control were evident on both sides, but Team ALPHA ultimately pulled ahead, earning the win with 180 points.
    Action continued in the Men’s Volleyball Championship, where Team ALPHA faced Team VANGUARD. Team ALPHA swept both championship games to capture the title, finishing with 110 points. In the final standings, Team VANGUARD placed second with 80 points, while Team APEX secured third with 70 points.
    In the Women’s Volleyball Elimination Bracket, Team VANGUARD emerged on top with 100 points. Team TITAN followed with 80 points, while Team ALPHA completed the podium with 70 points.
    Badminton events showcased consistent dominance from Team PHOENIX. In the Men’s Doubles division, PHOENIX captured the championship with 100 points, ahead of Team TITAN (80) and Team VANGUARD (70). The team continued its strong run in the Men’s Singles category, once again taking first place with 100 points, while Team OMEGA secured second and Team TITAN finished third.
    The Larong Lahi events brought added excitement to the Sportsfest. Team OMEGA claimed first place in the Sack Race, followed by Team PHOENIX and Team TITAN. In the Human Centipede, Team VANGUARD topped the event, with Team OMEGA in second and Team TITAN in third—highlighting sportsmanship and teamwork beyond competitive play.
    Overall results reflected steady performance across events.
    Team PHOENIX led the final standings with 100 points, followed by Team OMEGA (80) and Team VANGUARD (70). Team ALPHA placed fourth with 60 points, Team TITAN ranked fifth with 50 points, and Team APEX finished sixth with 40 points.
    The Sportsfest closed as a meaningful showcase of unity, perseverance, and school pride within the Christ the King College community.

    At Christ the King College, faith remains at the heart of every gathering. Since the beginning of Lent, the community has faithfully observed the weekly Procession of the Cross every Friday—a tradition that invites reflection and spiritual renewal. It was fitting, therefore, that Personnel’s Day 2026 also fell on a Friday, allowing the celebration to begin with this sacred observance.
    In this vibrant learning community, success extends far beyond the classroom. While students and teachers often take the spotlight, the institution’s personnel consistently sustain its daily operations. From security guards who safeguard the campus, to administrative staff who manage essential records, and utility workers who maintain cleanliness and order, each plays a vital role in creating an environment where learning thrives.
    Personnel’s Day stands as a formal recognition of the dedication of both teaching and non-teaching staff who embody the values of faith, excellence, and service. Through their steadfast commitment, they not only sustain the institution but also inspire students to live out these same principles in their academic and personal formation. The celebration served as a powerful reminder that behind every successful school are individuals whose quiet service builds futures and strengthens community.

    Elegance and excitement filled the venue as students gathered in their finest “Sunday’s Best.” In polished suits and graceful dresses, the student body radiated a palpable sense of pride and unity, transforming the campus into a hall of distinction.
    On February 18, 2026, Christ the King College (CKC) commenced the festivities by recognizing its Dean’s Listers. The ceremony honored those who demonstrated exceptional academic rigor, dedication, and perseverance. As applause echoed throughout the hall, it served as more than just a reward for high marks—it was an inspiration for every student to strive for their own version of success.
    The energy shifted from formal to festive as “THE YEAR-END SPOTLIGHT (Honors, Handover, & Hangout)” officially took center stage. The celebration kicked off with interactive games that sparked spirited competition. Students from various programs joined forces, trading their academic focus for teamwork and laughter, proving that the CKC community plays just as hard as it works.
    A pivotal moment followed with the formal turnover ceremony of the CKC Supreme Student Council (CKCSSC). In a symbolic passing of the torch, outgoing officers entrusted their responsibilities to the newly elected leaders. This transition marked a fresh chapter of service, ensuring the student body remains in capable, committed hands.
    The spotlight then turned to the departmental achievements and school clubs. A major highlight was the presentation of the prestigious 2026 DSA EXEMPLAR AWARDS—Discernment, Standards, Action. These awards recognized the “best of the best,” honoring those whose contributions went beyond the classroom to impact the very fabric of the college culture.
    Beyond the high fashion and formal ceremonies, “THE YEAR-END SPOTLIGHT (Honors, Handover, & Hangout)” served as a powerful reflection of the vibrant spirit defining Christ the King College. It was a day where academic brilliance met visionary leadership, proving that the heart of the CKC community lies in its ability to celebrate one another’s victories.
    As the curtains close on this academic chapter, we extend our warmest congratulations to the newly elected officers.     Christ the King College (CKC) honored 254 Exemplar Students from the Dean’s List during the Year-End Spotlight held on February 18, 2026, at the Mother Ignacia Del Espirito Santo (MIDES) Gymnasium.
    The event recognized students’ perseverance, sacrifice, and academic excellence for the First Semester of School Year 2025–2026. Awardees came from nine academic programs: 2 from Nursing, 24 from Information Technology, 16 from Accountancy, 80 from Teacher Education, 18 from Hospitality Management, 24 from Business Administration, 14 from Criminal Justice, and 76 from Social Work.
    Under bright lights and a red-carpet setting, students received certificates acknowledging their dedication and hard work.
    “This was very unexpected for me. I was happy and I felt fulfilled,” said Marichun L. Javier, a third-year BSBA student.
    The Year-End Spotlight served as a celebration of excellence and a reminder of CKC’s commitment to recognizing student achievement.

    On November 29, 2025, the National Service Training Program–Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) conducted a symposium and hands-on training on Disaster Resilience and Emergency Preparedness with the theme “Prepared Communities, Protected Lives.” Held at the CKC Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo Gymnasium, the activity gathered all first-year students from various departments.
    Mr. Vlademir Geb P. Dubouzet, Operations and Warning Officer of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Gingoog City, emphasized the importance of staying calm, alert, and prepared before emergencies occur. He discussed how earthquakes form, what to do during ground shaking, and the value of family emergency plans, securing heavy household items, and monitoring official advisories.
    The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Gingoog City further strengthened the discussion as FO1 Ian Dolph T. Pagaling shared essential reminders on fire safety and emergency response. FO1 Jefferson Asilo followed with a demonstration on using basic firefighting equipment and identifying common fire hazards at home and in school. Their insights highlighted that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility.
    To conclude the activity, the BFP facilitated a hands-on fire extinguisher training at the CKC Quadrangle. Students practiced the proper PASS technique—pull, aim, squeeze, and sweep—under the guidance of the firefighters, ensuring they gained practical skills for responding safely during fire emergencies.
    Through this initiative, students were equipped not only with knowledge but also with confidence to act responsibly and effectively in times of crisis.

    𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

    On November 29, 2025, Christ the King College conducted an HIV Awareness Symposium at the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium. The event was attended by students from the Higher Education Department and hosted by Gabriel Angelo Park. Adding to the significance of the occasion, Dr. Neal C. Rana, DPSP, DPCOM, served as the guest speaker.
    During the symposium, Dr. Rana delivered a comprehensive discussion on HIV, its modes of transmission, and the misconceptions that continue to place individuals at risk. He underscored the importance of accurate information and early testing as essential steps in safeguarding one’s health. He also highlighted recent advancements in treatment, explaining that individuals living with HIV can now lead healthy and productive lives with proper care.
    The symposium further presented key prevention measures, including practicing safe behaviors, recognizing potential risks, and seeking assistance without fear or stigma. The session encouraged students to remain informed, compassionate, and responsible, fostering a campus environment where knowledge promotes safety, understanding, and support for all.

    𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞: 𝐀 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞

    In the early dawn of November 19, 2025, CKCians gathered in the spirit of hope, unity, and purpose as Christ the King College hosted the Splash of Colors, Dash of Fun:3K Color Me Run 2.0. What began at the CKC entrance gate at 4:00 AM soon turned into a vibrant journey along Claveria Road. From the National Highway Crossing down to Bagong Lipunan Transit, where students and participants ran not only for fitness, but for a shared mission inspired by the call to be Pilgrims of Hope.
    Organized by the Christ the King College Supreme Student Council, together with the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Paul Remjee Diaz, LPT, MAFil, the event highlighted more than a colorful morning workout. It symbolized CKC’s commitment to nurturing learners who carry faith-driven optimism into everything they do. Each splash of color represented joy, resilience, and the collective spirit of CKCians moving forward with purpose.
    As runners crossed the finish line, the atmosphere emitted an aura of community strengthened by Unity, an embodiment of the school’s vision of forming students who promote wellness, compassion, and unity. The Color Me Run 2.0 proved that even a simple fun run can become a meaningful pilgrimage: one where CKCians journey together in hope, celebrating life, health, and the bonds that guide them toward a brighter future, Fulfilling the school’s mission of faith, excellence, and service.

    𝐂𝐊𝐂 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬

    Christ the King College held its Joint Send-Off Rites on November 20, 2025, formally recognizing the interns from the Business Administration Program, Information Technology Program, and Pre-Service Teachers from Teacher Education Program. The ceremony took place at the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium and gathered graduants, faculty and staff, and parents. Although light rain fell prior to the program, the community maintained its enthusiasm and support.
    To open the ceremony, the interns and their parents attended the 8th Day Novena Mass in honor of Christ the King, followed by a processional march. The Business Administration interns led the procession, followed by the Information Technology interns, and the Teacher Education pre-service teachers. Afterward, the assembly sang the Philippine National Anthem and the CKC Hymn.
    In her welcoming address, School President S. Ma. Anecita C. Navaja, RVM, offered spiritual guidance as the interns transition into professional practice. She drew from Scripture and reminded them, “Be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.” Her message emphasized the importance of embracing the Ignacian Marian approach when facing life’s challenges.
    Following this, Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFil, the Dean of Student Affairs, shared an inspirational message to the interns and introduced the batch names assigned to each program: “Batch P.A.L.D.O.” for the Business Administration Program, “N.E.X.U.S.” for the Information Technology Program, and “Batch L.A.M.D.A.G.” for the Teacher Education Program. He addressed the interns collectively and urged them to uphold the 3Cs—Competence, Compassion, and Character—as guiding principles in their future endeavors.
    The program then transitioned to its central moment: the pinning ceremony. The pinning symbolized the interns’ readiness to enter their respective fields and assume professional responsibilities.
    After the pinning, the Interns’ Pledge of Commitment followed. Teacher Education Program pre-service teacher and the CKCSSC President for SY 2025-2026, Kanna Marie P. Macabenta led the pledge, affirming the interns’ promise to uphold Christ the King College’s values and standards as they move forward.
    To conclude the ceremony, Business Administration Program Head Kimberlie L. Carcido, LPT, MA-HRD, delivered her closing message. She highlighted four reminders she hoped the interns would carry with them: to remember their roots, remember their purpose, recognize the power of prayer, and cultivate humility.
    As a heartfelt tribute, the interns honored their parents with a performance of “You’ll Be in My Heart”, offering roses as tokens of gratitude. The celebration continued with a lively performance of “Saranggola,” which showcased the interns’ unity, enthusiasm, and camaraderie.
    Finally, the event wrapped up with a photo opportunity that captured the significance of this shared milestone. Through the Joint Send-Off Rites, Christ the King College celebrated the interns’ achievements and prepared them to enter their respective professions while carrying the institution’s values.
