    𝐂𝐊𝐂 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟓 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞-𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟑, 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲

    Christ the King College extended assistance to 25 families affected by a recent fire incident in Barangay 23, Gingoog City, as part of its continuing commitment to community service and compassionate outreach. In response to the victims’ urgent needs, the school distributed 10 liters of water and 5 kilograms of rice to each affected family. Also given were used clothes and other essential items generously collected from the Basic Education Department and the Higher Education Department, reflecting the united effort of the CKC community to bring immediate relief and comfort to those in need. The outreach team was warmly accommodated by the Brgy. Captain, Hon. Amelita Paje, whose support helped facilitate the activity in the community.

    Representing the institution at the outreach activity were the Dean of Student Affairs and Services, G. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFil, and the officers of the Christ the King College Supreme Student Council (CKCSSC). Their presence highlighted the institution’s shared mission of service, compassion, and solidarity with the community, especially in times of crisis. Through this initiative, CKC once again embodied the Ignacian-Marian spirit of reaching out to the vulnerable and reminding the fire-affected families that they are not alone as they begin to recover and rebuild. We are here for you, our ka-barangays.

    Consent was duly secured from the recipients before the distribution and documentation of the outreach activity.

    Christ the King College, Gingoog City, took part in the AI for Good Summit organized by the RVM Education Ministry Commission (RVM EMC), held from July 31 to August 2, 2025, at the University of the Immaculate Conception, Davao City.
    The summit aimed to explore the ethical and mission-oriented application of Artificial Intelligence in Catholic education, fostering collaboration among RVM institutions. Representing Christ the King College, Gingoog City, were the following administrators: Dr. Carmelia C. Labadan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Pericles G. Aninion, MPM, Quality Assurance Coordinator; Mr. Paul John B. Panganiban, LPT, Research and Planning Coordinator; Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MaFil, Dean of Student Affairs; and Dr. Carlito T. Cabasag.

    Freshmen students gathered for the two-day seminar “Coping with College Life for Freshmen,” held last July 16 and 19, 2025, at the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium.
    With the theme “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐀 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞’𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡,” the event aimed to guide first-year students through the challenges and transitions of college life, fostering resilience, connection, and self-awareness.

    The Basic Education Department’s Mother Ignacia Club, in collaboration with the Christian Formation Center and the Community Involvement Program, facilitated the distribution of food packs to Trisikad drivers at Gingoog City Public Market today, March 14, 2025. This outreach initiative, held in celebration of the 362nd Baptismal Anniversary of Mother Ignacia del Espíritu Santo, reflects Christ the King College’s core values of faith, excellence, and service, as well as Mother Ignacia’s virtues of humility, simplicity, and charity.

    Guided by her unwavering faith and spirit of selfless service, this initiative reaffirms our commitment to being men and women for God and others, responding to the needs of the community with compassion, generosity, and love.

    We express our heartfelt gratitude to our Basic Education pupils and students, parents and guardians, teachers, staff, school administration, MIC Club officers, and moderators for their dedication and generosity in making this endeavor a success. May this act of service continue to inspire us to live out our Ignacian Marian identity and be instruments of God’s love in the world.

Aninion, MPM, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, Ph. D., the BED’s Student Activity Coordinator, Mrs. Floribeth G. Lasaca, MAEM, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFil (CAR).
