Christ the King College, through its Research and Planning Office in collaboration with the Research Enthusiast Society, officially opened the P.A.G.S.U.S.U.R.I. Student Research Congress 2025, an annual event that highlighted the academic precision, creativity, and research excellence of CKCians. The event was held on November 18, 2025, at the Mother Ignacia Building–AVR, bringing together student researchers from various departments to present their outstanding work.
This year’s congress featured keynote speaker Dr. Hilrem L. Bayucot, who delivered an inspiring message on the vital role of young researchers in shaping the community. A distinguished panel composed of Patrick Glenn Y. Sacal, LPT, MAEd-ELT; Shiela P. Abatayo, LPT, MAEd; and Rodgen D. Palmes, LPT, MAEd, provided expert insights and constructive feedback on the researchers’ presentations.
Anchored on the theme “CKCians as Pilgrims of Hope: Advancing Research with Faith, Purpose, and Innovation,” the event emphasized the role of students not just as learners, but as young innovators who contributed meaningful insights to their communities. It also highlighted the institution’s belief that research served as a path toward solutions grounded in faith and a clear sense of purpose.
The congress also served as a platform for collaboration as CKC’s departments united to showcase the talents and dedication of student researchers. It underscored not only their capability to conduct quality studies but also their commitment to producing research that contributed to the betterment of society.
The Research Enthusiast Society, headed by its moderator and Research and Planning Coordinator Mr. Paul John P. Panganiban, LPT, together with RES mayor Luziel I. Ora, emphasized that the event represented the school’s ongoing mission to form learners who were prepared to lead, inspire, and innovate for a better future.

Schedules were cleared, work clothes were set aside, and hearts were filled with excitement as Christ the King College opened its doors to a beautiful milestone, the very first HED Grand Alumni Homecoming. It was a rare chance to step back into the past, see familiar smiles, and relive moments that shaped who they have become. For many, it felt like meeting an earlier version of themselves—the dreamer who once hoped, prayed, and worked for the life they now enjoy.
On November 15, 2025, new memories bloomed at the 1st CKC Gingoog College Alumni Homecoming, celebrated under the theme: “CKCians Reunited: Honoring Our Legacy, Journey of Hope, and Synodality.” The Mother Ignacia Gymnasium came alive with warm greetings and joyful reunions as alumni from different programs gathered once again. Together, they discussed important preparations, including the election of program officers, to help ensure the success of this meaningful event.
With the plans in place and the spirit of unity glowing brightly, the celebration truly began. And as the day unfolded with laughter, stories, and heartfelt moments, the memories created today became promises—promises of more reunions, more shared journeys, and more reasons to come home to the school we love, CKC, in the years ahead.

The third day of Christ the King College’s 78th Founding Anniversary was highlighted by the first-ever CKC Grand Alumni Homecoming of the Higher Education Department, beginning with a solemn novena Mass held on November 15, 2025, at 8:00 AM inside the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium. The Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Roque Maguinsay, PACEM, who shared a reflection on the Gospel of the day from Luke 18:1–8, which focuses on perseverance—persistent prayer and never losing heart.
Alumni from various batches of the Higher Education Department gathered to celebrate the occasion, reconnect with former classmates, and honor the legacy of CKC. The Gospel theme added a meaningful tone to the celebration, reminding the attendees of the importance of steadfast faith in their personal and professional lives.
The first-ever CKC Grand Alumni Homecoming of the Higher Education Department continues to stand as one of the most heartfelt highlights of the annual celebration, bringing together generations of Royals in shared remembrance and gratitude.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐊𝐂 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐏 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲

The YAKAP Medical Mission took place yesterday, November 15, 2025, as part of the 78th Founding Anniversary and Solemnity of Christ the King. The initiative, which began last year in the Higher Education Department, has continued this year on an institutional level, reflecting CKC’s enduring commitment to compassion and service for the local community.
Christ the King College once again proved its unwavering dedication to service as it hosted the medical mission on Saturday, November 15, bringing together the CKC personnel, nursing students, volunteer doctors, registered nurses, Hospitality Management students, and partner organizations for a full day dedicated to care and compassion.
Held at the HM Laboratory located in the Sacred Heart Building, the event opened early in the morning as residents from nearby barangays lined up for free health consultations, vital signs assessment, basic medications, and health education. The 1st day of YAKAP was organized in collaboration with the CKC Nursing Program, showcasing the institution’s dedication to promoting holistic well-being—both within and beyond its academic community.
Before the mission officially commenced, Ms. Luren D. Montalba, LPT, the HM Lab in-chargewith the HM Students played a pivotal role in preparing the venue, meticulously organizing and preparing the HM Laboratory to ensure it was fully ready for medical services. Their coordinated efforts set the tone for a smooth and orderly operation. In addition, they were assigned to prepare snacks for the beneficiaries and volunteers, offering essential support behind the scenes—an often unseen yet crucial contribution that helped sustain the team throughout the day.
Throughout the day, BSN students worked hand in hand with licensed medical professionals, applying their curricular knowledge to real-life situations. Under the supervision of clinical instructors, students took vital signs, assisted in consultations, performed basic assessments, and ensured that every patient was guided respectfully and safely through the process. For many of them, the activity served as both a learning experience and a meaningful reminder of their calling to serve.
Meanwhile, at around 1 PM, the HM Students once again showed their dedication and hospitality as they handed out snacks to individuals outside the campus. With warm smiles and genuine kindness, they approached each person and offered snacks with care, creating a welcoming and heartfelt atmosphere. Their thoughtful gesture added a touch of warmth to the event, showing that service was not only about assisting in preparations but also about sharing kindness in simple, meaningful ways. Their sincerity and teamwork truly contributed to the spirit of compassion that Christ the King College aimed to embody.
As Christ the King College through the Community Involvement Program, continued its tradition of community engagement, the YAKAP Medical Mission stood as a reminder that healthcare was not just a profession, but a calling rooted in empathy, service, and genuine concern for humanity.

The day roared to life on 17th of November 2025 marked the electric spectacle of Higher Education Day celebrations. The afternoon event transformed the Mother Ignacia Gym into a jam-packed Coachella-style festival from 1:00 to 8:00 PM, blending fun, creativity, and camaraderie. The go-getting styled event as Coachella at Mother Ignacia Gym gone into whirlwind of student’s cleverness and competition hosted by Rench A. Calisanga from BSED-3 and Erica Y. Uba from BSA-3. Along with this segment, led by student officers and senators—Ronaren O. Vosotros and Kanna Marie P. Macabenta.
In connection with the 33rd National Children’s Month Culminating Activity—an important video was presented in the screen, an empowered lesson on children’s rights and dangers of harassment, including the exploitation of minors. The students reinforced this crucial knowledge through an interactive Children’s Rights Pzzle Piece Game. CKCSSC officers initiated a series of elated parlor games that pitted picked students from various programs against each other purely for fun—for instance One Eye and the thrilling Octopus Race. A show-stopping duel of students against the CKC HED instructors in the Karaoke Challenge with the students scream-filled, joy and laughter have rocked the gymnasium. Basketball game with selected students and personnels seamlessly weaved into the fun showcasing their frenzy skills.
The air crackled as the highlights featured the spirited broMEGAball: Hopchella Edition, creative Encorechella: The Musical, and anticipating Groove It Dance Showdown. The evening transitioned into a music festival hotspot, kicking off the vibe to set to pure hype, students erupted in thundering roar as the competitions have commenced, the eagerness of students and fierceness of every courses showcases their talents. The intensity has paid off with awarding of winners and judges presented by G. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFiI, Dean of student affairs: The BSA course clinched the first place in Groove It Showdown, ahead of BSN and BSHM, while TEP attained the Freestyle title, and BSA knocked over the top spot in Encorchella.
With the music pulsing, students let loose, grooving to the rhythm together. The day ended as a perfect blend of dedication to service and dazzling creativity, merging tradition with solidarity and spirit, bringing everyone together in celebration.

A lavish, exquisite ambiance unfolded. Flowing in rich gold and white fabric cascading from the ceiling, tables and chairs adorned with careful attention to detail, meticulously curated with the event’s theme: Greek-inspired.
On October 3, 2025, the Third-Year Events Management Class of Christ the King College formally transformed the HRM Laboratory into a swathe of gold and white. Every guest was warmly welcomed with a sense of value and importance. The Mediterranean-inspired dishes, artfully displayed during the formal dining of the guests, making sure that every aspect is particularly met with care.
The students went above and beyond bringing before the students in the said school a real-life formal dining event. More than just a mere coursework requirement, it was a valuable opportunity to excel by immersing themselves in real-life practices of event planning, hospitality, and culinary management.
Taking the lead in every part of the event, the third-year students created a living classroom. They learned how to serve with grace, follow high standards, keep guests happy, and be full. With creativity, discipline, and teamwork, they showed that they are ready to face challenges and succeed in the industry.

NSRC 13th Regional Assembly with the theme: “Onward NSTP in Transforming the Youth for NSRC for a Sustainable Philippines”

The NSRC Coordinator, Mr. John Del L. Responso, RCrim, MSCJ (CAR), together with the NSTP Coordinator, Mr. Ram Christian C. Dalit, RCrim, MSCJ (CAR), and an NSTP faculty member, proudly represented our institution at the 13th Regional Assembly for NSTP Educators and Implementers.
On September 25-26, the Coordinator of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) joined the 13th Regional Assembly with the theme: “Onward NSTP in Transforming the Youth for NSRC for a Sustainable Philippines,” where NSTP educators learn and share the best practices to transform the Filipino youth for a prosperous nation, strengthen partnerships, and highlight the role of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for young leaders around the country.
The active participation of our delegates shows commitment to nurturing NSTP students to be responsible young leaders, and to building a sustainable future.

The CKC Flex Fest Cup 2025 concluded triumphantly with the Thriving and Vibing Night, a culmination of sports victories and artistic showcases. The event was held on September 20, 2025, at the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium. With the theme “Beyond the Finish Line: Leading and Serving through Sports,” the festival capped a week of competition and service at Christ the King College.
This year’s Flex Fest Cup carried a unique feature as all program teams used names inspired by mental health and resilience, affirming CKC’s commitment to student well-being. The teams were Calm Crusaders, Hope Hustlers, Mind Over Matter, Mind Masters, Grace & Grit, Zen Zone, Resilience Racers, and Trail Blazers.
The evening began with praise and worship led by the Inter-Faith Gathering Community. It was followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, who commended the dedication and effort shown throughout the week.
Athletes were in the spotlight during the awarding ceremony for badminton, basketball, volleyball, chess, sepak takraw, softball, ultimate frisbee, and table tennis. E-sports champions of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and the first-ever PS5 Challenge were also recognized. In the overall standings, the Calm Crusaders placed third, the Mind Masters ranked second, and Grace & Grit secured the championship, marking their third victory.
The evening also showcased artistry through the Standard Ballroom Dance Contest and the Spoken Poetry Contest. In the Ballroom category, the Hospitality Management Program claimed first place, while Criminology and Nursing took second and third place. Meanwhile, in spoken poetry, the Teacher Education Program won first place, with Nursing and Accountancy finishing second and third. The success of the Flex Fest Cup 2025 is credited to the collaborative efforts of Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs; Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MA Fil., Ph.D. (Occ.), Dean of Student Affairs and CKCSSC Adviser; Quality Assurance Coordinator, Pericles Aninion, MPM; the Higher Education faculty and staff; the Sports Club; the Christ the King College Supreme Student Council; program officers; and students.
In her closing remarks, Alexa Marie Cagas, a fourth-year student, reminded her batchmates: “We should make the most out of this year’s Flex Fest, since this will be our last CKC Flex Fest Cup as graduating students.”
The Thriving and Vibing Night formally concluded the CKC Flex Fest Cup 2025, ending the week with recognition and pride for the CKCian community.

Christ the King College Opens Flex Fest Cup 2025

Christ the King College (CKC) opens annual Intramurals week with the theme: “𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘦: 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴”.
The opening ceremony, held at the CKC Quadrangle, began with a solemn Invocation led by the Grade School Performing Arts Club, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, School Hymn, and Himno ng Gingoog.
A vibrant Raising of the Delegation Banners took place, with representatives from each delegation proudly hoisting their flags, symbolizing unity and sportsmanship across the CKC community.
One of the ceremony’s most symbolic moments was the Lighting of the Urn, performed by three outstanding CKC student-athletes: Karo Augute Xander S. Sayson, a regional chess meet player; Hans Joseph C. Rana, a regional arnis meet player; and Apple John Toledo, a regional billiards player. Their participation highlighted CKC’s commitment to excellence in various sports disciplines.
The Oath of the Officiating Officials was delivered by Mr. Pericles G. Aninion, MPM, affirming the integrity of the games. This was followed by the Oath of Amateurism, led by Hans Joseph C. Rana, encouraging athletes to embody honesty, discipline, and true sportsmanship throughout the competitions.
To officially mark the beginning of the intramural festivities, S. Ma. Anecita C. Navaja, RVM, delivered the Declaration of the Opening of the Flex Fest Cup 2025, energizing the crowd and setting the tone for the week ahead. The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Luxmie C. Pardillo and Mr. Julio A. Panggal, II.

The Highly Anticipated Academic Ceremony Finally Takes Place

The highly anticipated academic ceremony has finally taken place: the Dean’s List Recognition Ceremony. On August 06, 2025, at 8:30 in the morning, the Higher Education Department held its Dean’s List Recognition for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2024–2025. This momentous event was held at Canteen 2 of the Mother Ignacia Building of Christ the King College, with the theme, “Rooted in Faith, Soaring in Excellence: Honoring Academic Achievers the Ignacian-Marian Way.”
During the event, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz, LPT, MAFil, PhD (Occ.), the Dean of Student Affairs, recognized twenty-eight (28) students from the Teacher Education Program, five (5) from the Accountancy Program, four (4) from the Business Administration Program, five (5) from the Information Technology Program, and thirty-four (34) from the Social Work Program for their exemplary academic performance.
One of the highlights of the program was when Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz shared a powerful line in his remarks: “You are not just honor students; you are honorable students,” a timely reminder for students to reflect on the underlying responsibilities that come with the merit they have received. This line was later reiterated by Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, PhD, further emphasizing the significance of one’s character.
Moreover, the success of the event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan; the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Paul Rem Jee Diaz; the Quality Assurance Coordinator, Mr. Pericles G. Aninion; program heads; and dedicated faculty and staff. Complementing their efforts, the ceremony was gracefully hosted by Nesciel Agustinez, who guided the flow of the program.
Indeed, CKCians are rooted in faith, soaring in excellence, and are triumphantly honored in the Ignacian-Marian way.
